Mughni studies how people develop understanding—particularly how they make sense of complex ideas, unfamiliar concepts, and new social and cultural environments.

He is an undergraduate researcher at Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC), where he studies second-language learning, pedagogy, and the ways learning emerges through people, tasks, interactions, and everyday environments.

He is a member of the TRACE Seminar, focused on second language learning and teaching, where he also works as a Student Assistant.
